We built this heater to run at 400V and 2500W, because you want serious heat without a giant footprint. That kind of punch draws a lot of current, so it needs its own dedicated circuit. No sharing. No cutting corners. The 300mm length isn’t arbitrary. It’s the sweet spot that keeps the unit compact while still giving room for a seriously robust heating element. This is about fast heat-up, not whisper-quiet, low-draw comfort.
The guts: halogen core and the connector that makes sense.
Inside, you’ve got a halogen-filled quartz tube. Halogen lets the filament run hotter and brighter than a standard bulb, and that translates straight into stronger infrared heat. The quartz envelope can handle the shock of turning on and off quickly—no cracking under pressure. We went with an R7s connector because it’s secure, handles high amperage, and is dead simple to wire up and swap out on the shop floor. It’s just a solid, dependable connection that doesn’t make you jump through hoops.
What it feels like in the real world.
In a bedroom, this heater is all about focused, instant warmth. Hit the switch, and 2500W gets to work, raising the temperature in a confined space fast. But here’s the trade-off you should know up front: that kind of heat density needs space to breathe. Keep proper clearances, make sure the enclosure is well ventilated, and use materials around it that can handle the localized temperature. And your electrical setup has to be rated for the full load—no improvising. This isn’t a gentle background heater. It’s direct, in-your-face warmth when you want it, where you want it.
