Keeping it easy on the eyes Most standard infrared lamps just blast everything—visible light, UV, the works. It’s harsh. It’s like staring into a spotlight. To fix that, we tweak the spectrum. We use a specific kind of quartz glass and some internal coatings to filter out those sharp blue-light peaks. The result? A soft, warm glow instead of a blinding glare. We’re basically blocking the wavelengths that make you squint, but keeping the infrared waves that actually soak into your skin to keep you warm. What’s under the hood We keep the power levels reasonable so the housing doesn’t get dangerously hot. Inside, there’s a halogen-filled quartz tube. We use quartz because it doesn’t freak out when the temperature jumps up and down; standard glass would just crack. Then there’s the reflector. We use high-polish aluminum or gold plating to push all that heat straight down. You want the warmth on your shoulders, not heating up your ceiling.
